FDA states
As of July 24, 2026, FDA reported an ongoing nine-state Cyclospora outbreak linked to recalled shredded iceberg lettuce from Taylor Farms de Mexico. FDA reported 1,947 illnesses, at least 98 hospitalizations, and no deaths. The identified advisory concerns recalled shredded iceberg lettuce, not ChefPax microgreens.
CDC recommends
Washing produce remains part of safe handling. CDC also notes that routine chemical disinfection or sanitization is unlikely to kill Cyclospora, so preventing contamination remains important.
ChefPax documents
