As of July 24, 2026, FDA reported an ongoing nine-state Cyclospora outbreak linked to recalled shredded iceberg lettuce from Taylor Farms de Mexico. FDA reported 1,947 illnesses, at least 98 hospitalizations, and no deaths. ChefPax is not identified in the investigation.
CDC recommends
Washing produce remains part of safe handling, but washing or routine chemical treatment of contaminated produce may not eliminate Cyclospora. That consumer guidance is different from sanitation of harvest tools and work surfaces.
